Jimmy D Black Metal Black dress. A/W 2011.

I love geometric panels! If only I hadn't dropped my sewing machine, I could have whipped something up. Waah.

Dear...

 Jhana Millers

Dear...

Lockets hold things dear to us and keep them close to our hearts.
Materials: Old post cards, envelopes, passport, letters and love letters
This is one of my favourite pieces. So delicate and precious.

Charm Bracelet.

 Charm Bracelet

The Charm Bracelet is traditionally an autobiography on a chain and a symbol of our lives and, our personalities. Is this what a 'Modern' Charm Bracelet would look like?
Materials: Advertising Brochures (Junk Mail), Glue

J. Bear.

My good friend Jhana Millers in her studio in Wellington (images taken from www.jhanamillers.co.nz)
Jhana makes beautiful jewellary and art pieces which she exhibits in galleries and other venues in New Zealand and Australia. I spent many an afternoon in this studio asking her how she made everything and about different jewellary making techniques as I was learning silversmithing in the downstairs studio for beginners. We also made a few art swaps when I was living back in NZ. In these photos she is wearing a black chiffon tunic dress I made for her in exchange for a jade oval pendant with black leather detailing on a silver chain. I will blog some of her lovely pieces in the near future.

Zambesi Spring/Summer

Zambesi Spring/Summer 2010/2011 Sydney

Will always enjoy the Zambesi aesthetic. Layers of black, layers of sheer, tailored pieces teamed with simple silhouettes, classic leather accessories, crisp Autumn days.
