Systematic / Spontaneous

This is a personality test that I stumbled across in the mind section of the museum.
My personality type is apparently - independent.
Rather appropriate I thought (whilst roaming the museum halls with my independent self).

Beauty.

Jane Birkin / Anna Karina / Kate Bush

KW.

 New sunglasses!
The ones on the left in black, I also have the ones on the right in Tortoiseshell.
I hope I dont start a collection, eeek.

Structural.

I love the Melbourne buildings.
These were all taken around the streets of my stomping ground, Fitzroy.
Brick / concrete / layers of peeling paint / window sills / coloured frames / strategically placed trees.
Just lovely.

Youre a beautiful and violent work.

WHY? are hands down my favourite new band.
Berkeley, California based indie rock hip-hop, headed by Yoni Wolf.
This song is from their album Alopecia.
It features the line,
And I thought, there is no paved street worthy, of your perfect Scandinavian feet.
 Bless.

Winter Children.

 I love these drawings.
They are in a shop called Panel Pop just down from my house, I see them everyday and feel happy that someone would draw them.
They are so cute!
And they are also very similar to the little drawings I was doing whilst on holiday in Vermont - Winter animal hybrid themes.

OFWGKTA

Fave new sound in L.A hiphop - OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All).
They sound rad - like a young angsty speed-fiend Wu-Tang (i.e. U-Gods lush deep voice).
The collectives members are 16-23, skateboarding, Supreme-clad, photoshop loving kids from Los Angeles, Cali, who swear a fuck load.
Also, the video for Tyler the Creators VCR is hilarious.
Check out their blog - it is rather entertaining.

Tis All I Need

I love this photo so much. Thank you Gatito for introducing me!
It reminds me of a theory someone once told me (forgotten the name) of the tiers of human satisfaction The top tier is a state of contentedness, understanding and peace with ones creative ability, want for material possessions and a simplicity and calmness to their general being. This then reminded me of a water person, someone at ease with the world around then. Someone who produces and creates for the love of having the ability to, someone who does not want and need everything that is marketed to them, someone who, metaphorically speaking, lives a simple, clean life. The tiers below are thus the ones who do not create, who are not satisfied with aspects of their life, who want and need things to fulfill an unknown desire, which will presumably render them perfect, or at capacity. I guess it difficult to move up a tier if one was not that way inclined to begin with.

Style.

Images of stylish woman.
Most (if not all) taken from The Sartorialist.
I like the following aspects: long skirts / heeled booties / curly unkempt hair / felt hats / pushed up sleeves / rolled up trousers & jeans / muted colours / single speed bikes / brick buildings / being stylish and practical.
