I love Patti Smith and I was very excited when I went to MoMA to discover an exhibition dedicated to popular American music. She truly is an artist - not just a musician (the Godmother of Punk?) but a woman who lives her life through creating and collaborating and sharing her passion with an audience. There was also a great collage of John Lennon decked out in New York paraphernalia. Photos by me
